Thank you for visiting.
Hello, my name is Othen Donald Dale Cummings. My mother had a disabling stroke a few years ago. I began care-giving for mom and we started doing art and writing projects together.
We call these projects "A Pet Banana Production" and they have given my mother hours of joy during her recovery.
This blog is a collection of these projects and also some random stuff we enjoy sharing. We have self published many of the stories and poetry I have written for and with my mother and would love for you to check them out!
Thank you and if you buy one of our books it is very appreciated because every sale helps us immensely!

A poem today.
I want to write a poem today
Really hard I will think,
So all of my rhymes do link
Pen to paper now I start;
The bird is blue,
And off he flew.
Really hard I will think,
So all of my rhymes do link
Pen to paper now I start;
The bird is blue,
And off he flew.
Oh Boy, I’m so proud
It’s coming along fine,
And all the words are mine!
I’ll jot down another;
The dog is tan,
Outside he ran.
Wow, that is really great!
Now I’m letting loose,
Just like the great Seuss!
One more stanza is all I need;
The apple is green,
Just like a lime
Just like a LIME?
Oh, crud
That doesn’t rhyme!

What would it be like to feel again?
A soft gentle tear,
How I wish again you were near
What would it be like to feel again?
How I wish again you were near
What would it be like to feel again?
So numb inside,
I don’t know how many times I cried
What would it be like to feel again?
Memories so strong,
So hard to believe it’s been so long
What would it be like to feel again?
The raindrops fall,
The sound echoes through the hall
What would it be like to feel again?
I go on my way,
Months fade into years night into day
What would it be like to feel again?

The Weirdest Poem I Ever Wrote..
The weirdest poem I have ever wrote
It happened to me the other night
I held my pen and started to write
The words came to my mind
One by one, line by line.
The weirdest poem I have ever wrote
I knew how to begin
But not an idea,
Just how it would end!
