Thank you for visiting.

Hello, my name is Othen Donald Dale Cummings. My mother had a disabling stroke a few years ago. I began care-giving for mom and we started doing art and writing projects together.
We call these projects "A Pet Banana Production" and they have given my mother hours of joy during her recovery.
This blog is a collection of these projects and also some random stuff we enjoy sharing. We have self published many of the stories and poetry I have written for and with my mother and would love for you to check them out!
Thank you and if you buy one of our books it is very appreciated because every sale helps us immensely!

The Stallion Runs Free

Rolling hills and wispy meadow,
Gentle rain,
Sweet flower petals,

The Stallion runs free.

Dirty trails and clouds of dust,
Sounds of hoof beats,

Through the brush,

The Stallion runs free.

Crimson skies and fiery moon,
Flowing mane,
The night comes soon,

The Stallion runs free.

Under the shadow of an old oak tree,
Your beautiful eyes,
Looking at me,

THE STALLION RUNS FREE.

Red Bird Blue Bird

Red bird Blue bird,
Sitting in a tree,
Singing their songs,
So nicely to me,

Red Robin Blue Jay
How do you do,
Puff up fluff up,
Around me they flew,

Tiny bird Brown bird,
So pretty to me,
Huffing their chests,
Flying so free,

Hummingbird,
Mockingbird,
How do you do,
One buzzes around,
And the other mimics sound,

In the breeze of spring,
When the trees are full,
I sit on my swing,
Just to hear them sing!

Old Man Joe

Old man Joe

Old man Joe,
Sitting on a bench,
Turning nuts with his wrench
Old man Joe,
Working all day,
Whittle, whittle he whittles away,
Old man Joe,
Sitting in the shade,
With his new friend the old maid,
Under the stars,
They dance like fools,
Till she took off with Joe’s tools,
Old man Joe said,
I have no nut,
I have no wrench,
Said Old man Joe,
Sitting on a bench.

Woody The Woodsman's Son

Woody The Woodsman’s Son

Woody the Woodsman’s son
Woody rose in the morning,
Woody played at night,
He loved to fiddle,
Woody the Woodsman’s son,
Was prone to diddle,
Woody played so hard,
Woody played so fast,
He played in the moonlight,
Woody the Woodsman’s son,
Played with all his might,
Woody felt no shame,
Woody did not care,
But he was a good lad,
Woody the Woodsman’s son,
Was careful not to wake his Dad!

Blurb Of The Adverb

Blurb of the Adverb
I’m writing wittily,
Penning proudly,
Rapping readily,
Composing constantly,
Quipping quietly,
Rhyming regularly,
Dictating diligently,
Singing soundly,
Don’t let the adverb disturb,
Some it could perturb,
But I think it’s superb.
