Hello, my name is Othen Donald Dale Cummings. My mother had a disabling stroke a few years ago. I began care-giving for mom and we started doing art and writing projects together.
We call these projects "A Pet Banana Production" and they have given my mother hours of joy during her recovery.
This blog is a collection of these projects and also some random stuff we enjoy sharing. We have self published many of the stories and poetry I have written for and with my mother and would love for you to check them out!

Wendall Author Review

My mom had emergency open heart surgery a few years ago; during this procedure she had a major stroke. My mother had a huge struggle ahead of her and we were told that the damage was so severe that she could only hope for minimum recovery.
Well mom proved them all wrong! She made huge gains in every area through extraordinary courage and perseverance.

Wendall along with A Pet Banana are two of three stories that I came up with to help my mom with speech therapy. We needed to do speaking exercises in between visits and these stories became a fun way to do this!

A few years later I self published these two stories and others under the moniker A Pet Banana Production. These certainly aren’t the greatest stories written and they sure don’t have the prettiest artwork but they were crafted with love and we hope that they bring enjoyment to other people as well.

Wendall and the other stories I created with my mother have left me with wonderful memories and will always have a special place in my heart. Thank you for looking at our book.
